Fire performance

Non-combustible because of what it is.

Not a treatment, not an intumescent coating, not a rating that degrades with weathering. There is no organic content in the panel to burn, so there is nothing to consume.

Two minutes of open flame on a bare panel. Then touch the back.Torch test · 2:00 · unfinished sample
Why it matters

What actually fails in a wildfire.

Most homes lost in a wildland-urban interface fire are not consumed by the front itself. They are lost to embers landing on and against the building, sometimes hours after the front has moved through. The cladding is the surface those embers land on.

A cladding that will not ignite removes that pathway. It does not make a building fireproof — windows, vents, decks and the roof all matter, and any honest cladding manufacturer will tell you so.

Standards, and where each one stands.

Fire ratings are meaningless without the report behind them. Every standard we intend to certify against is listed here with its real status, and each one becomes a downloadable report the day it is issued.

What we are not claiming.

Until the reports are in hand we do not claim a Class A rating, a flame spread index, or compliance with any wildland-urban interface code. We claim a composition and a video, both of which you can check yourself.
